Fiona has a background in integrated sciences, focussing on both physical and human geography during her university education at Durham University (England). She completed several projects on wildfires within her studies, and her master’s thesis concentrated on a wildfire event within the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone in Ukraine. Her topic of fire resilient landscapes at Wageningen University offers the opportunity to examine wildfire resilience from both an environmental and social perspective, something which she is particularly passionate about.
