Early stage researcher #5 with Wageningen University. Born and raised in a bucolic river valley locale of Kansas USA. Abbey’s educational background is in physical geography. Her research interests have spanned from studying fire effects on soil nutrients to topics in fluvial geomorphology. This background in fire and water is what attracted her to PyroLife and her project about fire, ash and water quality. You will find her running, cycling, reading, attempting to cook new food and exploring the outdoors during her spare time.
